Nutty Rice with Banana
Start off your morning with a solid breakfast. Brown rice with a sweet flavor of banana and cinnamon, boost the health factor with almonds and chia seeds.
Ingredients
- 1/2 C. almonds ground or chopped
- 1 bananas
- 1 C. brown rice uncooked
- 1 Tbsp. chia seeds
- cinnamon Dash
- 1/4 C. sunflower seeds
- 2 C. water
Instructions
- Cook rice in water according to package directions or until soft - about 20 minutes. Add chia seeds before rice is completely cooked.
- Remove rice from heat, all the water should be absorbed. Mash banana and stir into the rice, add all other ingredients and enjoy.
- Can be kept in fridge for a few days.
Tip
Great use for leftover rice.
